In questi giorni la società svedese TeliaSonera ha installato una stazione telefonica a Gorakshep villaggio a 5.200 metri nella valle del Kumbu sul versante Sud della montagna.
Il versante Nord, cinese da tempo è coperto dal segnale della China Mobile.
L'installazione faciliterà sicuramente i Trekker e gli alpinisti che si avvicinano e scalano la montagna anche dal versante sud, che fino ad ora era solo coperto dal segnale satellitare.
The Swedish company TeliaSonera has been installed a telephone station in Gorakshep village at 5,200 meters in the Kumbu's valley on the South side of the Everest.
The northern side, China has long been covered by the signal of China Mobile.
This Installation certainly facilitate the trekkers and the alpinists in the Kumbu's valley and in the the south side of mountain, which until now was only covered by the satellite signal.
